The Philippines is currently governed by the 1987 Constitution (Article II, Section 6).
The separation of Church and State shall be inviolable (Article III, Section 5).
We are required to recognize and follow those whom God has placed over us as part of our obedience to God.
How should we do it?(1) By simply obeying the law of the land.
– law-abiding citizens
(2) By living a moral and upright life.
– good testimony among our fellow Lipenos
(3) By diligently teaching the Word of God to our people and nurture them in the faith so that they too might live a life that is pleasing to the Lord and to our community.
– our role to teach and be good examples of others
(4) By praying for our government leaders so that they might exercise their authority with honor, integrity, and fear of the Lord
– 1 Timothy 2:1
(5) By partnering with our local government authorities to develop the living condition of the people in the area of their spiritual, moral, and physical lives.
